Ingredients
Aval -100 gm Sugar -150 gm Milk - ½ litre Cashew, raisins - 5 each Cardamom - 3 Ghee - 3 spoons
Method
Wash and cook aval in water till it is cooked well. Add sugar to it and let it boil for 20 minutes. Add milk and allow it to boil for some more time till it condenses and reaches payasam consistency.
Fry cashews and raisins in ghee till they turns golden brown and add to the payasam. Garnish it with powdered cardamom to enhance the taste.
Tasty aromatic aval payasam can be offered as neivediyam to deities on Adi Friday.
