The Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, Vellore district, is gearing up to celebrate Chandi homam on two days starting August 30 (Thursday), 2012 at 5 p.m.
A note from the peedam, founded by Sri Muralidhara Swamigal, says there will be Veda Prarthanai, Guru vandhanam, Sri Vigneswara pooja, maha sankalpam, kalasa sthapanam, Devatha aavahanam, Aavarana archanai, Chandi parayanam, Lalitha Sahasranama parayanam, 64 Yoginis and 64 Bairavars bali pooja, which will complete by 9 p.m.
The main homam will start by 9 a.m. August 31 (Friday), 2012 which will be performed by renowned Sivachariars from all over the state.
The note adds that the homam is a powerful one for getting all-round success in all undertakings and also for removal of all kinds of doshas and obstacles in one’s life.
All the other forms of Devi Durga are also worshipped during this Chandi puja and homam.
“Everyone is invited to participate on this auspicious occasion and receive the blessings of Goddess Chandi Devi,” says the note from the Peedam.
