Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) tasted their first success at IPL by beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by five wickets on the fourth ball of the last over. Bisla was behind KKR’s success as he hammered 89 runs in 48 balls (8 fours and 5 sixes). He was ably supported by the old war-horse Jacques Kallis who scored 69 (49 balls with 7 fours and a six). The two put on 136 runs for the second wicket after Gautham Gambhir was dismissed cheaply. Though wickets fell in quick succession, KKR could manage to surmount CSK’s 190 for 3 due to the hitting from Shakib Al Hasan and Manoj Tiwary. Hilfenhaus took two for 25. CSK elected to bat and put a challenging total on board with opener Murali Vijay who scored 42 (32 balls with 4 fours and a six). Michel Hussey scored 54 (43 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes) and Suresh Raina 73 (38 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes) but CSK’s dreams did not materialize.Bisla was declared the Man of the Match. Sunil Narine was chosen the Player of the Series.
