Puzhungal arisi (boiled rice) - 250 gm
Grated coconut - 2 big cups
Oil - 1/4 kg
Salt to taste
Wash and soak rice in water for two hours. Grind the rice with a little water into a fine paste.
Grind grated coconut coarsely. Add it to the batter and mix well.
Pour oil in a tava and heat it.
Make small balls of the batter and spread it well in the shape of a circle on a piece of cloth. Transfer it to the tava and pour two spoons of oil and allow it to turn brown.
Turn the adai and cook the other side.
Serve hot with sambar or milagai podi.
