Mrs. A. Dhanalakshmi, house wife residing in Tambaram shares her experience about a road side stall which is kept in East Tambaram, near Christ king Matriculation School on 7th of every month.

This road side stall begins at 10 A.M in the morning to 6p.m in the evening during 7th of every month. This road side stall has been started since 5 years. The costumer Mrs. Dhanalakshmi has been visiting this road side stall since 2 years. She says that this road side stall is very much useful to her. She feels happy that she is getting healthy and pocket-friendly provisions for her family. The provisions which are available in this road side stall are tamarind, chilies, coriander, mustard, jeera, fenugreek, turmeric, garlic, wheat, nuts, pappads and all kinds of cereals and grains. The owner  of this stall is a farmer  

  . Due to the profitability  of this business, the member of this family, a graduated youngster is looking after his business with his family.   This stall is getting popular because the stall is kept near the school. The customers of this, stall comes to this on 7th of every month to buy the provision. The customers of this stall are nearby residents, parents who come to pick up their children from school. The sellers of this stall bring the products from their land and from their nearby farms. This stall is giving the profit to both sellers and the customers. The best part of this stall is there is no agent in the middle, so that the customers and the sellers get the direct profit. As these products are bought directly from farms, the prices are very less compared to the market price. The customer Mrs.. Dhanalakshmi says that she is happy with the quantity and quality of the products which she gets. She says that the shop is getting many new costumers every month due to the less price than the market rate. She says that these kinds of farmer stalls are to be kept everywhere, to increase the profit to the farmers.

The products are measured in this stall in measuring cup. That is 1measuring cup= 1.5 kg

  1. One measure cup of  Urad dal- 140
  2. One measure cup of Bengal gram- 140
  3. One measure cup of green gram- 130
