As part of the monthly mikeless kutcheri organised by Sundaram Finance, 12-year-old Pooja Shree Rajagopalan, a student of Modern Senior Secondary School, Nanganallur, presented a lively Kutcheri in the Park on a cool and cloudy Sunday (July 1, 2012) at 6.30 a.m. at Nageswara Rao Park, Mylapore.

Accompanied on the mridangam by J Aravind (guru K R Ganesh) and on the violin by Parur M S Ananthalakshmi (guru M A Krishnaswamy), Pooja presented compositions that included ‘Kanu Kontini’ (Bilahari/Adi), Ashtapathi (ragamalika), ‘Eppo Varuvaaro’ - Jonpuri (Sree Madurai Mani Iyer) and ‘Geetha Dhuniku’ (Thillana-Swathi Thirunaal-Dhanashree).
Pooja is currently learning music under guru Rajalakshmi Srinivasan.
Sundaram Finance Sunday Kutcheri in the Park is a small stepping stone for young children to present their musical talent in front of an audience and a launch pad for these budding artistes.
