Chennai, August 4: The youth wing of the DMK held massive protests in all district headquarters condemning AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa seeking adjournments for the past 13 years in the wealth case against her.
Deputy Chief Minister and youth wing secretary M K Stalin had called upon members of the DMK youth wing to participate in great numbers in the protest that was held to condemn Jayalalithaa’s attitude and bring this issue to the notice of the judiciary.
In Chennai, the protest was held in Saidapet in front of Panagal Maligai, near Maraimalai Aidgal bridge, led by south Chennai DMK youth wing secretary J Anbazhgan and in north Chennai, the protest was held in front of the office of the Chennai collector led by district leader V S Babu.
Reports have been pouring in from different parts of the state where the protest was held successfully. The protestors raised slogans, including dubbing Jayalalithaa as 'Vaidha Rani' (adjournment queen), and in one place a woman was dressed up like the AIADMK supremo and crowned as ‘Viadha Rani’.
The public complained about the traffic snarls created by the huge gatherings everywhere.
