AIADMK general secretary and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa will host an Iftar party in Chennai on Friday.
A release from the AIADMK headquarters stated the party will be held 6 pm tomorrow at the Convention Hall of the Chennai Trade Centre at Nandambakkam.
The Chief Minister hosted a similar party last year too and reassured the Muslim community that her government would safeguard their interest.
Jayalalithaa said she wished that the 'wishes of the Muslim brothers and sisters' would be fulfilled by their keeping the Ramzan fast.
