More Qatar Airways flights to India

One of the world’s leading airlines, Qatar Airways, headquartered at Doha, is focusing on India and increasing its flights. Spread over two months, it is increasing its flights from New Delhi, Amritsar and Kochi which effective from September 1.

The increase is 14 flights a week from three Indian cities and 88 flights a week to Doha from India, which is 20 per cent increase in its frequency.

There will be daily flights from Amritsar to Doha. Qatar Airways launched its services to the spiritual spot of Sikhs, Amritsar, only last year.

Venice of the East, Kochi will get additional flights of 4 a week in spite of its daily flights. There will be two flights from September 1 and the remaining from November 5.

With the northern winter flying programme from October 31 around, the popular Delhi-Doha sector will have an additional flight which amounts to14 flights a week from Delhi.

Qatar Airways is well connected throughout the world and operates to 92 destinations worldwide.

India alone contributes over 10 per cent of the airlines’ international network.

Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways, said increasing the services to India is proof of their commitment to the Indian market.

To add feather in its cap, Qatar Airways has been awarded the prestigious five star service, the only Middle Eastern airline to be awarded it.
