New Delhi, August 2: India's hard-hitting batsman Virendra Sehwag has lost his numero uno position in the International Cricket Council (ICC) ranking for Test cricketers.
The Delhi batsman has been pushed to second spot with 866 points in spite of his scoring 99 runs in the Colombo Test against Sri Lanka recently.
His spot has been captured by Lankan captain Sangakkara who hit a double century and ran up a total of 882 points.
Another Lankan batsman, Jayawardene, has captured the third spot with 832 points.
His double century against Sri Lanka during the Colombo Test recently, has seen Indian ace batsman Sachin Tendulkar move from 6th place to 4th place with 817 points.
Among bowlers, India's Zaheer Khan is in 8th place and Harbhajan Singh, in 9th spot.
