Sachin Tendulkar’s 5th double ton

Yesterday everybody was talking about Sachin Tendulkar’s 48th Test century, but today it was his 5th double-century in Test cricket.

Sachin achieved this feat on the fourth day of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo today. His steady batting helped India reach 669 for 9 as he put on 256 runs for the 5th wicket with Suresh Raina, who scored his debut ton.

Earlier, Sri Lanka declared after reaching a score of 642/4.

Tilakaratne Dilshan captured Sachin's wicket when he was on 203. He also picked up the wicket of skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni who made 76 before being caught and bowled by Dilshan.

Sachin has made a mark as the all-time leading scorer in Test cricket. But Sir Donald Bradman has so far scored 12 Test double-centuries and Brian Lara, 9.
