It will be CSK Vs Mumbai Indians final

Navi Mumbai, April 22: Chennai Super Kings booked a berth in the Twenty20 Indian Premier League-3 final beating title holders Deccan Chargers by 38 runs in the second semifinal played here tonight.

Chennai, who were runners-up in IPL 2008 and lost in the semifinal in IPL 2009, will try their strength against Mumbai Indians in the grand finale on April 25.

Electing to bat, Super Kings could just manage 142/7 in 20 overs. S Badrinath was the top-scorer with 37, while Mahendra Singh Dhoni contributed 30 runs. Srikkanth Anirudha came up with 24. For Deccan Chargers, Ryan Harris took 3 wickets.

The low score seemed gettable, especially by a fired Deccan Chargers team.

But Hyderabad was under severe attack from the Chennai bowlers and fielders who seemed to be on a high. Deccan Chargers kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were finally bowled out for 104 in 19.1 overs. The scoring rate can be gauged by the fact that Andrew Symonds was the top scorer, with 23 runs.

The disciplined bowling of Chennai bowler Doug Bollinger not only fetched him 4 wickets but also the man of the match award. Shadab Jakati took 2 wickets.
